I have the same problem with kcpuload and knetload. I really like those
old KDE 3 apps which are (unfortunately) still much better than the

I'm running quantal and currently have kdelibs5-plugins version
4:4.10.0-0ubuntu2~ubuntu12.10~ppa1 and the lucid versions of kcpuload,
Hi,
thanks for the reminder. It's not that it's not suited for the PPA's, it
simply got lost in our rather long TODO list. I'll take care of it.

This problems hits me while starting KDE (version 4.9.5 on kubuntu
12.10) with both network manager plasma widget and chromium: kwalletd
hangs and must be killed to get things working again :-(!
Any news on this annoying issues?

Is this actually being worked on?
It's rather high impact if kwallet is being used to store wireless
passwords. I was unable to get online until I figured out what was going
on and disabled the wallet.

@Dennis: The logic is the other way round, the first question is usually: is
this bug still valid.
Sorry, I though so, because I did set the field to the newest version
myself one time and received this reply:

Still works for me in 4.9.5 and 4.10 on ArchLinux. The shortcut trigger
still says Launch(1), however the fix made pressing the calculator key
work to trigger the event anyway.

That's right, but it's still confusing that it says Launch (1). It
should really display Calculator. I wouldn't consider this issue fully
fixed until then.
