I have uploaded what I believe to be a fixed package for akonadi to my
PPA

Can someone who has this problem, please test that the fix works as
expected? P
After installing updated akonadi packages, users may still be required
to remove their ~/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf file to get the system
one copied over again.

I can't believe that there seems to be no demand for running the newest
Kubuntu-Version in a VM except us.
I tried with VMPlayer and VirtualBox on several Hosts. No one was
working !!

Right, the patches don't get applied anymore in yakkety.
