Thank you for your testing; yes that's useful detail on timings so thank
you. This will impact install QA-testing until fixed (ISOs using
`ubiquity`) but shouldn't impact live testing :)

I installed Lubuntu first. Then added the Xfce Desktop afterwards. It's
not the original Xubuntu now but everything installed well and runs

To me, this looks like it might be due to a python version difference.
Minor python version changes have been known to break stuff, but I'm not
an expert in this. I'm tagging with rls-jj-incoming since that should
get the attention of the proper teams and marking this as triaged.
