16.04.1.
Steps to reproduce:
- Install QBS and Qt creator
- In Qt creator, create a QBS projects ("Non-Qt-Project/Plain C++ Application")
- In the .qbs file, add the line Depends{name: "Qt.core"} inside

In my opinion apply should be used here instead of an immediate effect -
that's the way KDE configuration used to work. The immediate effect can have a
few unexpected bad consequences, when the user expects to be able to test out
a few settings. But
I'd like to confirm this - it doesn't load for me at the moment either.

When I install a new application in kubuntu-dapper (current dist-upgrade) there
will be no icon created in k-menu until I logout and log back in
I tested more and found out that it seems to be related to adpet more than to
K-Menu.
When I first installed kolourpaint and superkaramba through adpet and
Add/Remove Programs respectively there were no icons created until next login.
When I then installed yakuake with apt-get the icon was
