shoo_ash is probably right, as the workaround suggested on comment #5 in
bug #741200 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-widget-
networkmanagement/+bug/741200/comments/5) seems to work for me after
restarting kded4. No more 100% cpu usage when disconnecting from the
broadband or vpn.
+1 from me - the kde bug report indicates this should be fixed in svn versions
after 101* for knetworkmanager and for the plasma-widget-networkmanagement. Can
you guys please provide an update?

Finally alsa can be fixed building from source. Now that I can get kmix
to work, I finally tested kmilo and it is still broken. Volume only
varies 10% from the current position using hotkeys. If the volume is at
0, the max I can get using the hotkeys is 10%. If it is at 100% (using
the kmix
No change with kde 3.5.3. The kde menu shows in english, kcontrol shows
in english, the applets called by kcontrol show in portuguese as they
should.
