This thread is dead. Checkout the new bugreport for KDE 5 (Bug 349003).
It looks like the feature may be added back soon; there's already a
patch.

(The following is a bug I reported to KDE some time ago, but no one has
replied and it may be a Kubuntu problem rather than a KDE problem. I'm
not sure where the problem is, so I just chose the kubuntu-meta package.
The KDE bug report is at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id
As Orion suggested, I filed a new bug to request that this feature is
revived in KDE 5. See Bug 349003.
(Am I the only person who misses this feature? This thread is awfully
quiet considering the number of votes it got...)

After upgrading to Kubuntu 15.04, kwallet is no longer unlocked on

and plasma 5.3. Does anyone know if this is because of a problem with
Kubuntu or because the feature hasn't made it to KDE 5? (Or maybe the
feature is still there but I need to enable it somehow?)

I managed to get everything working by rebooting then finishing the

I also had the same problem as Olof Staffan when updating to kubuntu

removes qdbus:i386) works.

Yes. However, I haven't encountered this bug recently. I guess it got
fixed sometime in the last ~1.33 years.

Anyone listening out there? Are there any plans to get Kontact 4.4.10
out to 10.10 users, or must we wait another month+ for 11.04 (which

I've still got this bug in the 4.6.1 packages that were released today;
it looks like Kontact is version 4.4.9 and not 4.4.10.

Same problem. Network is manually set up. Disabling cache in Konqueror
solved the problem, with KNetworkManager still running. Closing
