was reported. In particular, kdeinit is gone entirely in Plasma 6. And
people seem to be reporting multiple distinct issues here.

You're not wrong that there's a bug with the sizes of certain controls
when you just change the font size or DPI. However this is because these
controls are meant to be scaled using the Qt scaling system (which gets
invoked by changing the global scale in the KScreen KCM) rather than
scaling
Well there's your problem. :) Setting the font DPI to 192 is not the
correct way to make scaling work. You should use the global scale
setting in the Displays page, which automatically sets the DPI to 192
for you, but also does a bunch of extra stuff to make layouts not break.

I also have this bug, I'm using kde on my samsung chromebook with crouton. Here
is the command lines when starting.
Entering /mnt/stateful_partition/crouton/chroots/precise...
Failed to start message bus: Failed to open
"/etc/selinux/targeted/contexts/dbus_contexts": No such file or directory
I should mention specifically that the file (in KDE 4.3 RC) is located at:
~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc
I believe that KDE 4.2 is ~/.kde4/...

I fixed the issue by clearing the files in ~/.kde/share/config/ but I
don't know which was responsible. It did not affect Dolphin or Konqueror
at all.

Folder browsing in any applet does not work

Binary package hint: kde4libs
Fresh install of Karmic Server, then install kde-core and added applets
from there. Folder browsing worked at first, then I tried to change
wallpaper slideshow and couldn't browse to any folders. I could only do
it not from Desktop Settings but
