as of right now (4:4.1.2-0ubuntu1) the last mails, that I couldn't read/mark read display just fine for whatever reason. I guess I can't be of much help any longer, and I also don't mind if you close that bug ;). -- [kmail] doesn't display a signed message, where the key is unknown

exactly. Oh, I haven't tried it with KDE 4 yet. In regards to KDE 3, nixternal iirc hinted that there would be some entry in the kde bug tracker in regards to using the windows key as modifier (though I must admit, that I haven't really had much success with finding things in the kde bug tracker
