This is in karmic. Since today's updates, some kde apps take a very long time
to launch (from 30 seconds to more than 2 minutes). During that time, there is
no disk activity, and the CPU is mostly idle. They also sometimes take forever
to close

I haven't seen the problem in a while. Also, automatic reconnections
seem to work more frequently.

This is a somewhat random bug in Kubuntu Hardy.
Quite often, when the network manager tries to connect to my WEP-encrypted
network, the connection attemp times out on DHCP and then knetworkmanager pops
up the "Connect to wireless network
The package network-manager-kde does not seem to contain the actual
knetworkmanager executable. The man page is there, the documentation, the
configuration, but not the executable. This is the list of installed files:

In a freshly installed Kubuntu Gutsy, the Volume OSD (that appears when
one uses the volume hot keys) is way too small and can even go
unnoticed. In my opinion the size of the OSD in Feisty was right.
