i think this is not a duplicated bug report.
all the dependency packages are installed like
libxine-extracodecs
libxine-ffmpeg
libmad
Amarok play mp3 no problems.
mplayer ok.
error msgs when crashing:

have tried different audio output plugin in kaffeine.
auto, alsa,oss, arts-- all of them gave the same error.
