Woohoo! Suspend started working for me after the latest upgrade -- just
did it ~5 a.m. Sept 16 2009 UTC (local PDT 10 pm). If this stays stable
for a while and other see the same thing, I should close this bug out.

Everthing definitely was working normally prior to August 26. Still
broken here, but in the meantime I've cobbled up an awful hack to make
things sorta work in the meantime. Just a little shell script attached:

@hasi, this was working when I installed Alpha 4, it is a regression. I
had to wait for years for desktop effects to work on Intel cards, it
absoultely should work correctly. Suspend probably will work without
effects, but I want them on, and this was working perfectly before some
update broke it.
