No, *I* am not trying to save the file before the server has sent the
filedata (including filename), *Konqueror* is trying to. As previously
mentioned: This feature works fine in MSIE, and works fine in
Netscape/Mozilla. It's 'simply' an issue of beginning the download
before the save dialog

including the file name. Sorry this is a limitation of dynamically

This is expected behaviour as the web browser can't know in advance the
filename the webserver is about to tell it to call the file as konq
doesn't even know at this stage its about to receive a file, its just
another link
