The only solution that worked for me is: apt-get remove kmilo.
It think the advantage of a useable notebook not remebering the last session
over an unuseable notebook that does remember the last session is quite clear :)

Thanks for your bug. We don't use an icon cache for gnome and hicolor
for exactly that reason. If you have a /usr/share/icons/gnome/icon-
theme.cache remove it, if you find a package generating that cache open
