That's not completely true. This fix requires that we run a cron script
and we cannot do that in edge.launchpad.net because it uses the same
database as production servers and thus, it would conflict with the
production cron script.

I'm not totally sure how to debug this, and I'm not totally sure it's a
bug in Kopete: I've seen similar error messages elsewhere, but where
escapes me, and I've not encountered the application dying because of
this before.
