[Bug 113611] Re: Network shares always shown on desktop

2007-05-09 Thread pete
Im not totally sure what you are suggesting, but this is not a new
feature, its a bug. Other distros handle hiding/showing shares on the
desktop fine within kde, it seems to be Kubuntu specific. Sorry if I've
missed something here.

[Bug 113727] p[apport] displayconfig-restore.py crashed with SIGSEGV

2007-05-09 Thread Sanchola
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kde-guidance

This always happens when I try to enable Xinerama, both on the fglrx
driver and with the ati driver. I had installed the patch and it was
working more or less well but still had crashes. I uninstalled the
patch so that I could continue to submit automated bug reports

[Bug 113232] Re: swap gone after two failed hibernate attempts

2007-05-09 Thread klerfayt
what a weird solution I have found!
it seems that if I add
resume=/dev/sda3
to
/boot/grub/menu.lst after the line # defoptions=
then suspend to disk works perfectly!

I would still like to hear the reasons why I need resume=/dev/sda3 to
get successful hibernate

[Bug 94272] Re: Global shortcuts not working

2007-05-09 Thread MidnightRunner8
My media buttons are detected in the Global Shortcuts and the mute,
volume up, and volume down work for the system. Pause/Play, track
buttons, and stop does not work with Amarok. Amarok is the best, and
it's awful not having this feature. Hope this gets fixed soon.

[Bug 113611] Re: Network shares always shown on desktop

2007-05-09 Thread Jérôme Guelfucci
I apologize, I thought you asked for a new feature. Actually i'm not sure it's
a bug, it's more a matter of changing defaults, so you could add this to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KubuntuFutureIdeas and to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KubuntuComments or contact the developpers via the
mailing list (see wiki).
Thank you
