device plugins and them recommends, not libgpod4, libraries are not optional
either they get linked against or not.
b) Amarok does not build with libgpod4 without GTK+ support, last I checked.

not solved!
running Lucid with NVIDIA, totally updated. i can say Kile *still* has
slow scrolling. it is particularly noticeable for large files ala
WordPerfect from the 80's. kile --graphicssystem raster improves
things.
