Haveing the same problem on kubuntu 15.10
Mail is usually not delted on an imap server, it is only *marked* as
deleted, and wll be permanently erased when the server receives a
"EXPUNGE" command. the akonadi imap connector and / or kmal2 have 2
problems:
1. it does no longer send EXPUNGE if

and stopped working after I upgraded to 15.10
Strangely enough, it works when I try a live Kubuntu 15.10 system on a
USD drive, on the same laptop

Funny. On my Debian GNU/Linux Jessie this problem does *not* occur in
Qt4 programs (including KDE software). While GTK- (v2 and v3, except of
Mozilla’s software) and Tk-based interfaces are affected.

You are right, it works for Firefox. But not for apps created with Qt4,
GTK2 and GTK3.
The reason is Firefox (XUL?) grabs only the mouse pointer and not the
keyboard when displaying a context menu. While the rest of the above
grab both mouse and keyboard, thus overriding separate

any shortcut. In firefox popup will be simply closed and shortcut will be

20freaking15 (that's two years and 3 months and after the start of this
thread) and this bug is still happening. My windows are still going
under the panel on KDE 5.4. Man, I left KDE in favor of gnomeshell 3
years ago because of stuff like this. It's 2015, I really wanted to give
KDE a chance but
