It's a bit annoying that cmake has different behavior has different
behavior on Ubuntu than it does on Debian with multiarch.
We've been carrying forward a changelog entry for 2 years that says
"xnox says this is not yet ready to go upstream but he will work on it"
Seems the indefinite hang in running tests occurs in
lang/python/tests/t-callbacks.py
at the point where
c.op_genkey(parms, None, None)
is called in the '# Test the progress callback' and '# Test exception
handling' sections
