Gwenview is very when running in a Ubuntu on Wayland session.
It takes many seconds every time I open an image or delete one. It works
flawlessly on Ubuntu on Xorg.

Encountered the same issue during ISO Testing. From the traceback I see
this should be really simple to fix.
As a workaround for those that do encounter this bug, ubiquity only crashes
when the format checkbox is checked in the main partition list view. If you
click on the partition, then Edit
The behaviour is also different if you start ubiquity from the live
session or directly from 'Install Ubuntu'
