ThinkPad X1 Yoga not deactivating

If you try to launch "KDE Connect SMS" from any application launcher or from
kdeconnect widget, window wouldn't open.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Kdenlive under Ubuntu 19.10.
2. Try to Capturing Audio (Dubbing).
OBSERVED RESULT
Found that list of capturing device is empty with remark: "Make sure you have
audio plugins installed on your system".

I didn't have any luck with MariaDB either.
I couldn't login to mysql without sudo so I fixed that (the root
password I set during installation was too weak but it didn't complain
at the time). I set the new password for root, a more secure one, and I
can now login into mysql without sudo.
