I'm a bit at lost there. It doesn't seem to be related to the http protocol
handler.
The package kdelibs-data owns many of the file related to association and
protocol handlers. You could try to reinstall it:
apt-get install --reinstall kdelibs-data

Easy to confirm. There is indeed no Save button, but, there is a Save menu
item in the right-button-mouse-menu for each Calendar resources. Look at an
thing named Default KOrganizer resource, and right click on it.

With the last update I restarted and it's still happening. I get this warning

I remember that problem happened when I used Amarok 1.3.8, but I decided to
upgrade to 1.4.0b2 instead of investigating. The problem seemed exactly like
the reporter has described.
