Similar problems here with 1.3.2 (on Debian) – having had accessibility features turned on and off again, the 'trim margins' features stopped working. Removing the out of that resulting new configuration file line `BWThreshold=75` (under `[Dlg Accessibility]`) in okularpartrc, and restarting Okular made 'trim margins' work again.
