Just upgraded to Feisty (from Dapper). In dapper I could connect using knetworkmanager, but not with wpa_supplicant directly. Now it is the other way around. When I boot, I get the "KNetworkManager is connected" pop-up, and it shows the wired connection icon (I do /not/ have a wired connection).
When I click on the icon it says "Wired Devices" but doesn't list any, and no mention of Wireless at all. I can connect just fine on the command line: sudo wpa_supplicant -Dwext -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf & sudo dhclient wlan0 (I just thought: could it be because I renamed the device wlan0 from eth1?) BTW, I am using a ThinkPad Z60m. -- no wireless networks after upgrade to 0.1-0ubuntu1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/69643 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for knetworkmanager in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
