This seems to happen reliably on jpg's produced by darktable.
Darktable-rendered pics all cause the crash. These were all NEF (Nikon)
raw

akonadi needs mariadb (not newer mySql) to start up. Other things might
be involved too. Since akonadi gets used by address book, the notes,
kmail, PIM, etc. any problem there will bleed over.

I am unable to reproduce this one Dave with my Dell Mini 10v, as it
displays normally, and not all squished up like the one you had. Does
this still occur with any of the latest updates? If it does, that could

I am going to fix release as I haven't seen this popup in a long time. I
do not believe the popup was any fault of KDEs but because something was
going on behind the scenes with TTY1-3. If this occurs again, please
reopen with more information, as I will follow it and see if we can

I can confirm this report, however I don't know what the real solution
will be. Maybe Celeste can view this report for usability. I don't think
I would want it to remove files without me first seeing what is in
there, so I kind of welcome the fact that it opens Dolphin to let me see
what is in it.

open up Konqueror and the dialog letting you know about the multiple
tabs?
The fact that it blinks in the taskbar seems OK to me, however I would

different machines (1 desktop, 1 laptop, 1 netbook) all running the

Anyone able to reproduce this on Karmic or is this issue still
occurring? I just did this little test and it actually worked for me,
which I wasn't expecting it do so, and it looks like we have the same
hardware pretty much, though I have a Dell. Anything else I might try to
reproduce this beyond
Still the same in Karmic with 4.3.1. I looked through the global
shortcuts for Print and all I found was this:
Ctrl+Print sends a desktop screenshot to the clipboard
Alt+L sends a window screenshot to the clipboard
I tried both of these and neither show up in Klipper, however I went
into gimp
The reason for the genuine package thing I think is because the drivers
are the binary versions from ATI. Anyways, does this issue still occur,
specifically on Karmic? I though ATI/Radeon/FGLRX was golden with KDE4.
It is funny you say no problems with NVIDIA because my old work machine

I hate to be the barer of bad news, but this issue is not going to be
fixed in the KDE 3.5.x releases. I am truly sorry for this. I am

konqueror file manager loses
In Konqueror 4 and Dolphin 4, this works somewhat. If you set the
directory to detailed and then click an image and hit the up arrow, it
will go back to your previous view. However going to other folders and
what not switch back to icon view if you didn't set that folder to
detailed. Konqueror 4
This seems to have been fixed in at least KDE 3.5.9 as I see 3 options:
* KGhostView
* Karbon 14
* Other
If you feel this is still an issue utilizing the latest version of KDE
(3.5.9), then I urge you to reopen this report. Thank you!
