Public bug reported:
Okular doesn't save/render stamps in PDFs properly and requires an
update to okular and poppler - please push this to live versions of
kubuntu.
It's fixed here:

Ok - I have a working version based on a new db_data directory (none of
my local mail folders exist)- I've stopped akonadi, replaced the db_data
with the backup I made _after_ the problem started - I don't have a
backup of this prior to the start of the problem.
With the "as it was when the

Public bug reported:
qapt-batch insists on running but gets stuck "Waiting for authorization"
- it never asks for a password. it's quite annoying.
A workaround is to ps to find the process an work out what package it is
trying to install and install it manually but it is hardly slick.
Public bug reported:
This is a daft bug but on my computer if I add a new event in korgnaizer
I get drop down boxes for start and end times but these are too small to
hold the times so all I see is:
0...5
0...0
0...5
0...0
etc etc
instead of
07:30
07:45
08:00
08:15
I can resize the window
C'mon people please package a newer kmail to fix this bug! It basically
renders kmail unusable if you want to handle attachments and the bug has
been fixed since April!

Please release a newer kmail2 - the current version 5.1.3 has a bug so
that enclosed images in emails aren't shown (quite annoying).
It is fixed from v 5.2

FWIW installing the tarball compiled openscad from the openscad home was

Cannot mix incompatible
Scratch that last comment the tarball runs fine at first and then
crashes with the same incompatible QT error as before.
However building openscad from source (openscad-2015.03-1) results in a
working version - building takes ~20minutes and by way of compensation
the new version is nicer.

I appear to have this (or similar) with openscad on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS

Ok after a quiet period where this did not occur very often it has
started again several times a day - it is more than annoying - since the
only way to fix it is to reboot I lose data each time this happens.
What seems to have made it happen again is the use of an external mouse
but this may be
AFAIK this fix is accepted upstream

Another 24 hrs on and no repeat of the keyboard problems through several
sleep / wakes etc. I think this is increasingly looking like some cross
talk with power devil.

I think I have a lead on this problem - it appears to be solved for me
(no problems in the last 24hrs) but the solution is a little bizarre
and points to a deeper problem:
power devil also appeared to have a problem since the updates sometimes
being unresponsive and has been reporting this
Public bug reported:
Since a few updates over the last two weeks the keyboard on my laptop
(macbook air 4.2) stops responding 2-3 times a day on light use. I find
no messages looking at the system logs (via dmesg). KDE seems unaware
of the problem. The mouse works and the only way I can fix
Also - not 100% sure but the battery monitor widget appears to die at
the same time and it seems to occur more often shortly after the
computer wakes up. The forgetting the xmodmap settings problem is
happening many times a day now and is really irritating although can be
fixed without losing
