With Kubuntu 6.06 Flight 7:
If I do a right click on a file and select the Actions menu, all the proposed
choices are present twice (see attachment).

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this happens only using the LiveCD. Once
installed, I don't have this problem anymore.

My network card is a Broadcom 4401. Please find the output of $lspci and $lsmod
hereafter.
When the system starts up, the network is unavailable. Instead of using
systemsettings, i manually set the route and the interface:
$route add default gw 192.168.1.1
$ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2
