You haven't actually disabled it yet, or the radeon driver wouldn't be
working. But yeah, better make sure it won't actually get disabled.

The Xorg log file is still from the modesetting driver, not the radeon
one. Also, it doesn't contain the failure lines. Make sure you attach
the information corresponding to the problem. You may need to get the
Xorg.*.log.old file.

You're using the Xorg modesetting driver, not the xf86-video-ati radeon
driver. Does the problem also occur with the latter? If yes, please
attach the corresponding Xorg log file and output of dmesg.

I found the following issue reported in the kdevelop tracker (see
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293587)
Adding the argument --graphicssystem native resolves the issue for me
and the person who submitted the issue to kdevelop. You may get lucky as
well!

bitmap fonts.

Now, we have two problems. First one is to determine how kmail reaches this
state (which could lead to another bug report). Second one, which is of more
interest for you, is how you can recover your data! A quick look into google
(kmail qgarray) gives some tracks to follow, first one is in

Konqueror and selecting preview with GstreamerPart.
Kubuntu breezy fresh install.
