@ David: Thanks for reporting this! Following the rules from the bugs-
squad I had to mark this bug-report as invalid as the incident didn't
come from an archives package. ;-)
I've had my test, to complete the positive impression you all gave me on
this ppa-package.
sudo apt get install
Installed clivejo's PPA and everything works great. One system required
a restart to enable the new version, other system did not.?! I also
"sudo apt purged kdeconnect-plasma" to clean up the old version.
Verified:
- File transfer both directions
- SMS alerts and response (required disabling
Version 1.0 of kdeconnect required an updated version on Qt which was
only available in yakkety. We are working on backporting Qt to xenial,
but with the release of Yakkety we had higher priorities.
Version 1.0.1 removes that hard dependency on Qt and allows it to build
on the version of Qt in
The packagename does appareantly not follow the given Ubuntu-naming-
scheme, thus it looks like these can coexist – if it doesn't contain
`replaces/breaks'.
I've subscribes the ppa-owner to this bug-report, before more like this
pops-up here.
