Hopefully I can explain things a little bit. First off the /etc/avahi/services file is what is used by the Avahi daemon to *advertise* what services you have available on your local host. It is not the recommended way to advertise services, the recommended way is to have zeroconf support build into

Hi guys I have tested this again in the 9.04 release and there has been no improvement. An ssh service file displays as a fish service file and none of the others work apart from when using the avahi-browse or mdns- scan (as Donatas pointed out) tools. I know the zeroconf service has only been bro
