When I execute xdg-open from the command line on a C++ source file
that file gets opened in a new instance of qtcreator, even if one is

I am also facing this issue in Kubuntu 12.04, KDE 4.10.2
Removing the rc config file and reconfiguring didn't help. Neither did
removing the database file rescanning.
