I downloaded 64-bit 17.04 this morning to a fresh VM. Fully updated,
rebooted, then added Pre-release updates via Discover, updated and re-
booted again. No immediate breakage.
krunner works, and invoking kinfocenter, I see KDE Plasma 5.9.5, FW
5.31, and Qt 5.7.1

Then sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y
The update looked clean, and I re-booted my VM using the kicker
Application Launcher Leave > Reboot sequence (which sometimes does not
work in major Plasma upgrades).

the WEP password, but now I realise that it does not connect even on a
non-password secured wireless network. Basically clicking connect does

By default, the Plasma Workspace launches with Workspace Type of Netbook.
When I switch it to Desktop, the Kickoff Application Launcher shows Kopete
instead of KDE Telepathy.

I enabled Proposed (Pre-release Updates) to my VM using Discover, and rebooted,
and tested:
- Discover Launched from the notification widget and successfully applied a
system update
- Alt F2 launched Krunner and I successfully invoked kinfocenter
- Kinfocenter Successfully returned K
It looks good to me. I started an 18.04 Proposed VM (Pre-released
updates checked in Discover). Applied updates using Discover, and re-
booted. Krunner launced kinfocenter which reports KDE Plasma 5.12.6, FW,
5.44, and Qt 5.9.5. The Application Launcher successfully launched
System Settings, Konso
Grabbed an old VM, not updated since installing 18.04.1. 307 pending
updates. I did not remember selecting -Proposed on that VM, but Discover
wanted to update to, among other things, Plasma 5.12.7. I got the
notification that a restart would be required, and after re-booting my
VM, kinfocenter repo
