Howdy folks,
Last night I tested the 2.10.18 Kubuntu Bionic image. Here were my
findings:
Software
2/10/18 Bionic Kubuntu image
Hardware
2013 HP ENVY dv6, 500GB 5400 RPM WD hard drive, 8 GB RAM, crappy NVIDIA
GPU; 15.4" 720p TN screen (very low quality)
Issues/Unexpected behaviors
===
Live session uses dark theme (Intentional? Did Bionic switch to using
Breeze Dark by default?)
Double wifi password pop-up: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387502
and https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377473
No samba client installed in live session:

Ubiquity installer slideshow has some visual and textual papercuts:
In Ubiquity installer, after seeing the "Continue in UEFI mode?" dialog
and allowing a UEFI installation, the same spinning cursor was seen for
approximately 10 minutes! Way too long. Many users would bail out at
this point, assuming something is wrong.
In the Ubiquity installer, on the Disk Setup page, after clicking
"Install now" I got the spinning cursor again for another 3 minutes
before seeing the pre-installation warning dialog
In the Ubiquity installer, I started the installation and left it
overnight, but it never progressed beyond on "Creating ext4 filesystem
for / in partition #2 of SCSI1 (0,0,0)(sdb)...33%":

Trying to shut down the machine from the live session reproducibly
crashed ksmserver-logout-greeter: https://phabricator.kde.org/T7946
