Hi,
i got a new Xeon E5520 (4 cores, 8 threads), and I'm testing some
Windows guests.
My configuration is as follows:
- Arch Linux
- Kernel 2.6.32.7
- Qemu-Kvm 0.12.2
1st test: identify the correct line for smp in my case, I tried with:
-smp 8,cores=4,threads=8 in this way only Windows 2003

That is basically the same error.
The guest runs the vga vios and hangs. Please try with a production
processor.
Working fine with a retail E5520. Thanks for your help.

Hi!
I'm a long time KVM user, but I've encountered a problem that I couldn't solve.
I've switched my good old Core2 Quad with gentoo (2.6.27 kernel) for a
Dual Xeon L5530 with Arch (2.6.32 kernel).
I've tried starting the old vmachines on the new hardware but if I

Is there any detailed documentation on how this happens inside qemu-kvm?

Hello,
just a quick bugreport: on http://www.linux-kvm.org/page/Documents,
the Doxygen Documentation link is broken (http://kvmapi.ath.cx/
doesn't respond).
Does a mirror exist?
Thanks for any help,

Hope this helps.
