Hi, I've been trying booting a knoppix Live CD KNOPPIX_V5.1.1CD-2007-01-04-EN.iso without any success.
This is my setup: - Fedora 7 with all the updates available up to today. - kernel vmlinuz-2.6.22.9-91.fc7PAE - kvm-45 and latest kvm-46 Boot fails because of a kernel panic Call back trace: - setup_local_APIC - verify_local_APIC - init - APIC_init_uniprocessor - smp_prepare_cpus - task_rq_lock - set_cpus_allowed - init - init - ret_from_fork - init - init - kernel_thread_helper I tried various combination for booting knoppix: normal, failsafe and several in between. I also tried a few combination of -no-kvm-irqchip -std-vga -no-acpi Everything works if I disable kvm with -no-kvm switch. Any hint?
