Hello Marcus I translate the file msg_prop_l10n_fr.j, uses by platform_hints.html (nothing to translate in this file) but i cannot upload it. So I create a new file and copy the translation inside, and propose it, creating a pull request. Regards, -- Jean-Michel
Questions about structure for translations...
Hello I installed a Wampserver to test the translations I do on the site, and to reproduce how it works. I looked on github for the openoffice-org/content/xx folder to get the source I have many questions : - On the site, there is a header and a footer, which I do not know where to find, nor how to have the same display? - the first option on the home page has a link to why/index.html, but on github I only see files with, the extension md (index.md, etc). How is this handled? Can I simulate the same operation ? Regards, -- Jean-Michel COSTE

You can find it in the file "download/index2.html". I tested. The text is in French when javascript is disabled. Of course many links are pointing to webpages in English. However, nearly no other language has a translated text. I am thinking of translating the first level pages whose links are on the first page, or harmonizing with the pages of the French-speaking site. But the following could be translated, too, if you want: https://www.openoffice.org/fr/download/platform_hints.html Ok. https://www.openoffice.org/download/full_vs_lp.html for this one, I think I will have to place it elsewhere? Re: Changing the webpage for French,
Hi Marcus, Here are the files in French. To understand the architecture and test the result, I created a copy of the site on my Winamp server. The msg_l10n_fr.js file is not quite finished, I have to examine the links with the other files (platform_hints, etc ...) I did not translate blog entries or news. Surprisingly, I don't see the orange block (help needed) on the download page ...
