Alvarado St. Los Angeles 90026 On Tuesday, January 25th a Tribunal was held, The People vs The FBI. It quickly became clear how deep the FBI's repression runs, as was illustrated by the dozens of testimonies given by the L.A. community. Testimonies were given by long time activists, such as Carlos Montes who has suffered FBI entrapment for decades to young activist like Sallie Lin, who spoke about the oppression she has faced being a Asian American trying to stand-up for injustices. A unanimous vote found the FBI guilty of harassment, infiltration, and violations of Human and Civil rights. This protest was in solidarity with the nine new subpoenas in Chicago to anti-war and Palestine solidarity activists. The nine were ordered to appear before a Federal Grand Jury in Chicago on January 25, under the threat of arrest. They bravely, like the 14 activists before them, chose to plead the fifth rather than participate in this government witch hunt. Over 50 cities across the country stood up on the 25th demanding that these attacks on the anti-war movement end.
