Three members of North Wind were snatched off the red line yesterday,
right before we were headed Downtown.

After succesfully marching 2.5 miles together, united, the North Wind
entered the North Hollywood Metro Station at around 12noon, to board
the red line train to Union Station in Downtown, Los Angeles. On our
walk up to the station we noticed at least 3 uniformed LAPD officers
and a dozen uniformed Sheriff officers. As a person who takes the
metro at least 3 days a week, I thought this was extremely strange (I
have never seen a unfiromed LAPD or Sheriffs inside the North
Hollywood station, or any station besides Union Station before).

As we lowered underground via escalator, we saw another dozen
unformed Sheriff officers guarding the entrance to the Red Line. At
the turn styles, each occupier was stopped by one of these Sheriffs
and their boarding passes for the red line were thoroughly examined.

We went down the final staircase and escalator to board the Red Line.
We were all on it...Yay! The train doors closed and we began to move.
Suddenly our train stopped. 2 brothers and one sister were being
taken away, and not to be seen again for the rest of the day.

As it turns out, one of our brothers had a "May 1st General Strike"
Sticker on his backpack, so the Sheiff's stopped the train and
arrested him for "Possesssion of Vandalism Tools". Our other Brother
and Sister were arrested for interferring with Police Arrest and
Felony Lynching.

Of these 3, one has been released. May Day is not over. The two that
are still in jail have two babies together, that are missing their
parents. These arrests are absurd to the max. The Sheriff were at the
North Hollywood Station to harass and target us. I have never been so
disturbed in my entire life.

What can we do about this targeting and snatching of occupiers?

Solidarity,
Kylene
