Countdown to Rally at Mariachi Plaza Thursday, March 29 1:30-4:30 p.m. 1st and Boyle Streets, L.A. 90033 We must send School Board President Monica Garcia this message: you can't ignore the educational and economic needs of your community! You don't want to miss it. Everyone who's anyone will be there. A few schools have chartered buses to take teachers and students, like Venice CAS and South Gate. West Valley Occupational Center will be there with their graphic signs. Evans CAS has plastered handmade signs all over campus, and students will go class to class on Monday to raise interest. United Adult Students held a meeting Saturday to coordinate their actions for Thursday. Garfield is marching from Eastside Learning Center to Mariachi Plaza, which is about a 3 mile hike!! Huntington Park is going. Belmont CAS is planning some street theater. Kennedy-San Fernando is going. North Valley Occupational Center is going. Jefferson CAS is going. L.A. Tech is going.
