Just a reminder that NBLS (Nottinghamshire Bobbin Lace Society) is
celebrating their 40th anniversary this year with an exhibition of lace.
It runs from 11th - 15th August (next week) and is in Nottingham City
centre, right next to the Nottingham Trent University Tram stop. Entry
I thought Torchon was worked face up, but I work most other laces face down as
there if often a need to end a portion of the lace before starting another
section, such as in Milanese. Â I find that my laces that are face down have a
flat look to them when turned over, such as Russian tape lace

If it's too shiny, use a clean, new metal scrubby to make it less shiny. Lrb
