2 years ago I painted postcards and mailed them to my daughter. They all got
smeared/rubbed on some spot.
I like the idea of an envelope for protection./

Oh Dear Bev! I believe you have issued a challenge! My question comes from
having made & sent crazy quilted fabric postcards that arrived in good order &
were well received by the addressees. Naturally I assumed that lace would work
too but hoped to leap frog on someone else's experience. Ye
My suggestion is to put the card with lace attaché into an envelope & mail. It
is safer that way. However, when I was a child my pen friend from England sent
me a card from Brugge. The girls apron is lace. The card is covered with
something like cling wrap and it arrived safe.
Hope this help
Anything stuck to the outside of a piece of mail is subject to
whatever processes the piece goes through - there is the chance card
and lace will get mangled or smeared along the way, especially in
sorting machinery. Whether it is worth the chance depends on the
sender.

I've not tried lace on a postcard, but I have a friend who stitches her own
postcards and mails them. She says they have always arrived fine. She
advises taking them to the post office and having them hand stamped /
franked there

HI Susan and everyone
My free advice is ... don't. Paste a colour photocopy of the lace to
the card, or compose a picture with the lace that you print yourself,
adjust/trim to postcard size.
Send your real lace inside an envelope ;)

participants in groups #2, 6, 9, 10, & 11. If you're in one, would you please
contact me off list? Thanks. Sincerely, Susan Hottle, Erie, PA USA

Thank you to all three who sent me their postcards. I can't remember who they
were because my grandkids took the postcards as fast as they could because they
were COOL.
