Oh Dear Bev! I believe you have issued a challenge! My question comes from having made & sent crazy quilted fabric postcards that arrived in good order & were well received by the addressees. Naturally I assumed that lace would work too but hoped to leap frog on someone else's experience. Ye

My suggestion is to put the card with lace attaché into an envelope & mail. It is safer that way. However, when I was a child my pen friend from England sent me a card from Brugge. The girls apron is lace. The card is covered with something like cling wrap and it arrived safe. Hope this help

Anything stuck to the outside of a piece of mail is subject to whatever processes the piece goes through - there is the chance card and lace will get mangled or smeared along the way, especially in sorting machinery. Whether it is worth the chance depends on the sender. On 6/28/11, Sue Babbs wrot
