Although I haven't been lacing long, I would love to read about or even
sheepishly attempt some chantilly lace,
I don't have acsess to a teacher, can anyone recomend some good reading
material? Or even a begginers workbook?

Why not give it a try? I do not know of a how-to book, but there is a nice
dvd with beginning lessons put out by Hensel productions, follow the link to
the Chantilly Lace dvd here:
