Our house here in Suffolk is going up for sale at the end of the summer term and we are going to move back home to Wales - North Wales to be a little more specific. When the Lace Guild Convention was held in Llandudno in 2003 (I think) there were lots of lovely displays from lacemakers in North Wales, and my query is this: could the members of groups in North Wales contact me, as the things I will miss most will be my lace classes and groups - Essex Lace Makers, Wymondham Lace Makers etc. I have been teaching for about thirteen years too, so would welcome any indications as to whether there is room enough for another lace tutor in the area - obviously, the last thing I would want to do is make myself *very* unpopular by muscling in on any territory which belongs to someone else! We don't know as yet where or when exactly we will be going We are having several long weekends away during the summer holiday to refine the search area, and are again having our three-week holiday in September to prowl around. Following on from that, if any groups meet in the first three weeks of September, I'd be glad to be able to brighten up the day with a visit to lace-makers - have pillow, will travel. I will look forward to hearing from you all - I suppose a private reply would be best, as we don't want to clutter up Arachne and Arachne chat with my personal concerns.
