I received the recent digest and read with interest the comments on lace
exhibits.
I don't see much in museums and have run into the dim lighting most of
the time.
The decorative arts museum in Williamsburg, Va has had several textile
exhibits which I have viewed.
They have additional temporary
And there is always Exeter Museum which has a lace collection as well as the
museums in Bedford and Luton which do have collections of lace but I am not
sure whether it is available nowadays as I was told that it was all packed
away. Apparently people are not interested!!

I was particularly taken by the comments by Linda and her work with the Denver
Art Museum and, well, here is where my brain starting going...
It seems like there needs to be some education of art museum directors

Museums abound for all sorts of things. Art and history are the most
prominent. Art, in my opinion, includes lace. The thing about the average
art museum is that those who go there have acquired an education about what
is standing there, and what is hanging on the walls. Art history courses

convention last year.
