In connection with the altar cloth project, which is moving along well, I
need to make at least 2 fair linen cloths. The fair linen cloth is a white
linen cloth which sits on top of any other cloth on an altar. It has 5
crosses on it. It is usually embroidered, but I am a lacemaker. Or I at
least I make lace. It occurs to me that a needle lace cross can be sewn to
the fair linen cloth. Are there any patterns out there that are within the
reach of someone who has taken all of one class in Venetian needlelace?
These crosses are 2.5-5 cm, (1"=2") square. Frequently the embroidered
cross is padded. It is always white on white.
