In connection with the altar cloth project, which is moving along well, I need to make at least 2 fair linen cloths. The fair linen cloth is a white linen cloth which sits on top of any other cloth on an altar. It has 5 crosses on it. It is usually embroidered, but I am a lacemaker. Or I at least I make lace. It occurs to me that a needle lace cross can be sewn to the fair linen cloth. Are there any patterns out there that are within the reach of someone who has taken all of one class in Venetian needlelace? These crosses are 2.5-5 cm, (1"=2") square. Frequently the embroidered cross is padded. It is always white on white.

Lyn in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA where we are in for more perfect weather. Full sun, comfortable temperatures, pleasant breeze.
