Hi All,  I often use NL for needlelace/needle lace since I can't remember
the preferred spelling <G>.

Regarding Needlepoint lace I think it may go back to 1900 or before when
"point" was used to denote "stitch". That can also lead to confusion
because with B'berg style (mixed lace) they would use all sorts of
different names -Venetian Point, Irish Point, Modern Point Lace, etc.

I also think of needlepoint as stitching with wool on a heavy mesh fabric.
