To Jeri’s question, the book is Rosaline Perle 2 by Judith Cordell, 
ISBN 978-0-9570698-1-7.   Holly didn’t have her first volume on Rosaline in 
stock but was planning to reorder.  Hope this helps.  

Thank you Lorelei!  I knew about the rib & roll technique to carry threads in 
Honiton.  Although I’ve seen a demonstration of the technique, I have not tried 
it myself.  I also have not yet taken a class in Withof, Duchesse or Cantu so 
the rolled bundle start described in Rosaline is a new wrinkle.  Thank you for 
the yummy photo links!  The bundles add dimension & definition to the motifs.  
BTW, I checked out your ning resources earlier today—more great photos & the 
book list.  The IOLI library has two of the books that were recommended so they 
will be on my winter reading list.  Many thanks.  

Bev, I too have started samples or fringed items with bundles.  It just never 
occurred to me that it was a technique for starting a fine piece of lace.  Live
