If the dress was completed, I think the Royal School of Needlework ladies
who applied the lace would have had more than a tiny inkling about who the
dress was for.
The latest issue of Notions, the newsletter of the American Sewing Guild, has
an article on the wedding dress lace. The lace supplying the flowers for her
dress was from two lace manufacturers, Solstiss and Sophie Hallette. The lace
from Solstiss is now available from Fine Fabrics in Santa
