The extra twist enhances the edge, too.

For the firmest edge, although a bit bulky, work CTCT, pin, CTCTT (the extra
T, to keep the same weaver bobbin).
Where you want to vary the weaver bobbin, e.g. if thread is running out,
omit the extra T.
