Hello All! There is an article on imprinting lace in clay in the current issue of Bliss Victoria magazine. One of the photos shows Roumanian point lace. Two EGA friends & I are going to visit the local pottery school next week as she offered to conduct a workshop for us. Will keep you posted

If you want to know how lace is used to imprint on pottery, you could contact Royal Doulton at: http://www.royal-doulton.com/ established in 1815, and who used to make (don't think they still do) pottery, especially vases, imprinted with lace. They should be able to say what type of lace was

Hi Lyn, I have a hanging vase made with slab pottery that has an imprint of lace on it. I think I picked it up at a craft sale at sometime. Not sure if the lace was burnt off in the firing or just used to impress the clay. I love it. Lace became my love long after I quit doing clay so I don

Hello All! My friend in Edinboro, PA just emailed me that Campbell Pottery will have a demo of lace imprinting on clay June 25 & 26. The artist is Trudi Clark from NJ. They are also hosting a Lily Festival in July with a juried exhibit of artists using any medium to represent the lily. Hmmm.
