Hi Dona, I have a photocopy option on my scanner and when I am unsure about the size I print off a piece of pattern, at 100% of the size, then go up or down by 5% at a time checking the pin gap against threads until I find the one which seems best for the job. Just write in pencil alongside

So the options for that seem to be try and find as fine a linen thread as possible, enlarge the pattern and see if I like what I get. The hang-up there is that I'm unsure of how to enlarge the pattern. Can I just put it on my scanner and enlarge it that way? How do I determine how much I need
